Caribbean Investment Summit 2026 – St Lucia

13 May 2026

Caribbean Investment Summit 2026 | St Lucia

La Vida’s team were in attendance at the Caribbean Investment Summit 2026 last week in Castries, St Lucia, joining government leaders, Citizenship by Investment Units, regulators, developers, and global industry stakeholders for one of the most important events in the investment migration calendar.

Representing La Vida at the summit were several members our Client Relations team, Chelita Virdee, Jude Clemoes, and Lavanya Marya, who spent the week engaging directly with key decision-makers and partners across the Caribbean CBI industry.

This year’s conference reinforced a clear and consistent message from regional governments: Citizenship by Investment remains a vital economic pillar for the Eastern Caribbean, supporting national development, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and long-term resilience for small island nations.

Keynote Speakers

The opening keynote from St Lucia’s Deputy Prime Minister – Hon. Dr Ernest Hilaire highlighted both the importance of the sector and the increasing focus on regulation, transparency, and international cooperation. Discussions around the new regional regulatory body demonstrated the region’s commitment to strengthening standards and maintaining confidence with international partners including the EU, UK, and US.

We also heard valuable insights from The Prime Minister of St Kitts – Hon. Dr Terrance Drew, who spoke about the future diversification of Caribbean economies, particularly the role of the energy sector in reducing long-term dependence on CBI revenues.

Meanwhile, Grenada’s Prime Minister – Hon. Dickon Mitchell and other regional leaders reinforced the importance of border security, due diligence, and international compliance – themes that have become central to the continued success and sustainability of the investment migration industry.

The summit also welcomed Hon. Philip J. Pierre, St Lucia’s Prime Minister, who participated in a high-level panel discussion alongside other Heads of State, addressing the future of regional cooperation, economic resilience, and the continued evolution of the investment migration industry.

A New Citizenship by Investment Offering

Another interesting discussion point came from an official representative of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, who touched on the country’s future interest in launching its own Citizenship by Investment program. While still in the very early stages with no timelines discussed, this would represent an exciting future addition to the Caribbean CBI portfolio if developed further.

Beyond the conference sessions, the summit provided our team with valuable opportunities to meet directly with Heads of Citizenship by Investment Units, government representatives, legal partners, and leading industry stakeholders. These conversations are essential in ensuring La Vida continues to provide clients with accurate guidance, trusted relationships, and access to the most credible and compliant investment migration solutions available globally.

Strengthening Industry Relationships in the Caribbean

At La Vida, we believe that being present at the heart of the industry matters. Maintaining strong relationships with governments, regulators, and program stakeholders allows us to stay ahead of industry developments and continue delivering the highest standards of advice and service to our global clients.

Following the conference, our team also had the opportunity to attend the famous Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, enjoying performances from incredible local and international artists, including Skip Marley and The Wailers – a fantastic celebration of Caribbean culture and hospitality.
