North korea CITIZENSHIP

North Korea does not have any residency or citizenship by investment programme. North Korea is subject to stringent international sanctions that severely limit investment and trade. The political and legal environment is extremely controlled, with little transparency or predictability, posing significant operational and legal risks.

North Koreans themselves are prohibited from applying to any of the citizenship investment programmes elsewhere and of course travel for North Koreans is severely restricted. Aside from the challenges leaving the country the North Korean passport itself offers little in terms of visa free travel. It provides visa free access to 52 countries worldwide. Those countries total just 2.6% of global wealth.
