None of the Caribbean programs list Lesotho among their restricted or banned nationalities. Antigua covers a spouse, children and dependent parents on a single application, and ranks 65th on the La Vida Passport Value Index. Grenada holds an E-2 treaty with the United States allowing citizens to apply for a US investor visa. St Lucia, Dominica and St Kitts And Nevis offer comparable routes, with processing running four to eight months.

Lesotho Residency By Investment

Lesotho has no formal residency by investment program. Established routes sit in Europe, where applicants are assessed on current residence, income and record rather than nationality alone.

Portugal’s Golden Visa program offers a structured pathway to second residency, requiring a qualifying fund investment from €500,000 and seven days a year in the country, with permanent residence available after five years.

The Greek Golden Visa requires property investment from €400,000 across most regions, rising to €800,000 in Athens, Thessaloniki and the larger islands, with a lower €250,000 tier for qualifying commercial-to-residential conversions and listed buildings undergoing full restoration.

Lesotho Passport Strength And Ranking

Lesotho ranks 132nd of 199 on the La Vida Passport Value Index. The Lesotho passport reaches 116 of the world’s 227 destinations without a prior visa, representing 17.3% of world GDP and 24.8% of global travel measured by international visitor arrivals.

Basotho nationals require advance visas for the United States, the United Kingdom, the Schengen Area, China and Japan. Those five destinations account for most of the gap between the destination count and the 17.3% economic reach.

More favourable passports are available through investment. Grenada ranks 63rd on the Index with 179 destinations, 59.6% of world GDP and 79.4% of global travel. Antigua and Barbuda sits 65th with 186 destinations and 58.8% of world GDP, more than triple the economic reach a Lesotho passport provides alone.
