Saudi Arabia Passport Access in 2026

A Saudi Arabian passport provides access to 128 of the world’s 227 destinations. That’s 56.4% of all worldwide destinations. This represents access to 44.8% of global GDP and 42.3% of the world’s most visited travel destinations, based on international visitor arrivals.

Saudi Arabian passport holders have fully visa-free access to 60 destinations worldwide. Despite this figure being higher than some of its regional neighbours – Yemen’s passport is commonly cited at around 31 destinations and Jordan’s at around 49, on the Henley Passport Index – it still leaves the majority of the world requiring some form of entry clearance. Once visa on arrival, eTA and eVisa routes are added, a Saudi Arabian passport’s counted access rises to 128 destinations, 56.4% of the world.

That leaves 99 destinations in the world that require a traditional visa application – the slow route of sending your passport away, booking appointments, or queuing at an embassy or visa center.

But counting destinations doesn’t give the full picture.

Why Visa-Free Counts Don’t Tell the Whole Story

For years, passport rankings have focused almost entirely on one metric: the number of destinations accessible without a visa.

Saudi Arabia: No Citizenship by Investment Program

Saudi Arabia does not offer a citizenship by investment program. It does have a residency by investment route – the Premium Residency program (commonly known as the Saudi Green Card) – which grants long-term residency, not citizenship, to qualifying investors and high earners.
