La Vida provided input recently for this news report by NBC about the reduction in cost of investment for citizenship programmes in the Caribbean. Costs have fallen recently as the five Caribbean countries offering programmes have cut their costs to gain market share. However many of the reductions, such as the Hurricane Relief Fund for St. Kitts until 31st March 2017, are temporary. This has produced a surge of investment from around the globe. Demand is widespread and as one of the leaders in this market La Vida has helped many investors from more than 50 countries worldwide to gain a second residency and citizenship. However we don’t expect such low investment limits to last as Caribbean leaders themselves seen keen on agreeing a floor probably far higher than the lowest investment amount, currently $100,000 plus related fees. We expect to hear more on this in the coming months.
